The Beta Upsilon chapter is represented in over 60 activities and organizations on campus and in the community. These activities range from Varsity and intramural sports such as Track and Field, Cross Country, and Cheerleading, to pre-health organizations like Global Medical Training, Carolina Tropical Clinics for Rural Health, the Pre-Medical Association, Delta Delta Sigma Pre-Dental Honor Society, and Carolina Advocates for World Health. There are also several members involved in business, journalism and public relations activities. These include working for and serving on the executive board for The Daily Tar Heel campus newspaper and being members of DSP Business Fraternity, Carolina Women in Business, Public Relations Student Society of America, Renewable Energy Special Projects Committee, and the Kenan-Flagler GLOBE program. There are also several members involved in volunteerism through the UNC hospitals, Tar Heels for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Headbands for Hope, Peer Tutoring, and Buckley Public Service Scholars.
